This list was comprised from a survey of home builders conducted by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).
- 9 foot ceilings on first floor
- Whole house efficiency
- No more two story family room atrium
- Larger laundry rooms
- Additional mud rooms
- Low-e windows
- Programmable thermostats
- Energy efficient appliances
- Walk-in closets
- Separate tuba and showers in master room
- Lack of outdoor kitchens, sun-rooms, butler pantries, media rooms
